Avoid waste, Buhari tells ministers-designate

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday warned his ministers-designate against waste of resources and impunity, urging them to key into the change agenda of his government. The president spoke at the ongoing retreat for the incoming ministers at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.

He also asked them to consider themselves privileged to be called to service in the midst of millions of Nigerians, charging them to work as a team to deliver.

The president however told the ministers-designate to use the office of his chief of staff as official communication Channel inline with the presidential system of government.

He reiterated his resolve to fight corruption, solve unemployment problems, tackle insecurity and also diversify the economy for sustainable growth.

The retreat which started on low key at the Transcorb hotel in Abuja on Wednesday to end on Friday is themed “Delivering Change: From Percepts to Practice”.

While the early part of the opening ceremony was made open to Journalists, the later and the technical sessions were however closed to the public.

In attendance were all the 36 ministers-designate

Emeka Rollas New AGN President, The Actors Guild of Nigeria, now has a new president after the election that was conducted in Enugu State on the 22rd of August, 2017, which Emeka Rollas has 42 votes and Emeka Ike 14 votes, for the position of  the President and Samuel Onibiyo 42 votes for the position of the General Secretary. Emeka was elected after a keenly contested election which now sees both faction of Emeka Ike and Ibinabo Fiberesima being officially dissolved, and the one time general secretary Emeka Rollas now emerges as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, and Samuel Onibiyo as the General Secretary.

Police Man Who Reportedly Slapped Singer, Korra Obidi, Releases Video Showing What Really Happened

The police officer whom dancer Korra Obidi  accused of slapping her and smashing her phone  has responded to the accusation. He shared a video which shows the dancer throwing punches at the crowd that gathered, and also a narration of his own side of the story. According to an eyewitness @Hotsucreee, Korra Obidi disobeyed the law enforcement officer when she was asked to reverse because she was going off her lane which would have added to the traffic the officers were trying to reduce. The eyewitness also pointed out that the dancer was not touched as claimed. ”Girl you are completely wrong. I witnessed this and I got you out of this mess today .
